ZENITH AFRICA
ZENITH AFRICA
Through our flagship initiative, the Shero Pads Circular Programme, we provide reusable, modular pads and subscription-based cleaning services to help girls manage their periods with dignity while staying in school.
Our work empowers local seamstresses, promotes eco-friendly habits, and reduces disposable pad waste in underserved communities.
Skills In partnership with Tshilidzi Foundation and Township Roots, we’re expanding our impact by building skills development programs that support both community members and school learners, creating long-term change from the ground up.
-The average cost for a single reusable pad is R45.00 in South Africa (3 million women and girls in South Africa cannot even afford this)
A single Shero Pad costs R9.00, and our Dignity Set costs R100.00, reusable for 2-3 years, saving R650.00 over 3 years.
-A woman will use approximate 220 disposable pads in a single year.
With Shero Pads she can use 1 pad base and 6-10 pads liners for 2-3 years, saving 210 disposable pads from landfill.
Every woman should have access to sanitary pads, and should not have to worry about it. Zenith Africa is committed to making essential products readily available to all South African women. We believe every girl and woman should have access to safe, hygienic products without harming the environment.
To know that you are having your period is a blessing, but to be able to do something about it is a luxury.
